Course objectives
The aim of the course is to place students' experiences with theater education in both formal and informal educational settings into a broader context. The course is based on both theoretical foundations and experience gained during professional practice. Students will also learn about other approaches in the field of arts and culture education and expand their experience with the principles of film and audiovisual, visual arts, music, dance, and physical education. This will better prepare them to respond to the needs of the revised RVP ZV (Framework Educational Program for Primary Education). Teaching will take the form of lectures, demonstration lessons, joint visits to educational programs, and internships. Students will reflect on the experience and knowledge they gain during joint and individual consultations and in an "inspiration diary," which is the main output of the course.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to:
- understand current trends in art education in both formal and informal settings;
- reflect these trends in their own teaching or lecturing work;
- gradually incorporate the principles of other artistic disciplines into their teaching;
- identify and justify approaches that can be effectively used in practice in the field of arts education;
- understand the possibilities of integrating multimedia principles and digital technologies into theater work;
- recognize their strengths and limitations;
- keep an inspiration journal as a tool for reflection and professional development;
- document their work and present it to professionals and the wider public.
