Course objectives
The Professional Preparedness II course will allow prospective graduates to orientate themselves in the labor market, in a professional setting of cultural institutions, non-profit organizations, or in the exercise of a freelance profession. The aim of the course is to provide students with economic connections and practical skills in the areas of law, taxation, business, promotion, marketing, management and so-called soft skills related to the performance of their profession (whether in employment or self-employment or in the liberal profession) , but also in their personal life. The aim of the course is also to familiarize students with the basic issues of production and cultural management in order to use them in practice and in co-operation with the manager or producer. The content of the course will always be tailored to the specifics of each study program.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
Student has the knowledge:
- in the field of taxation, business fundamentals, contractual relations,
- from the foundations of copyright and civil law,
- tax records and accounting bases,
- in the area of ​​public and private funding,
- in the field of promotion,
- from the field of self-management, planning, time management and communication.


Skills:
Student can:
- establish a trade,
- work with tax documents,
- to process the tax records, to compile a monetary journal,
- process tax returns for personal income tax,
- process your portfolio and CV,
- draw up an annual work plan,
- set a price for your work,
- Build a simple business plan using Lean Canvas,
- can establish a non-profit organization (registered association)
- process the grant application and bill the grant.


Eligibility:
Student is able to:
- to critically and independently study key and complementary materials and sources on the topics discussed,
- To independently process the tasks assigned by the teacher during the course,
- Find other relevant materials and sources related to the topics discussed.

    1. How to Work Freelance (Trades, Freelancers versus Employment)
    2. How to start a business, how to start a business
    3. Tax, social and health insurance
    4. Work in foreign countries
    5. Agreements for work done outside the employment relationship, license agreement, contract for work
    6. Depreciation
    7. Value added tax, payer or non-payer
    8. Fundamentals of accounting (tax records, invoice, order)
    9. Tax return
    10. Economic context in ordinary decision-making in life or in practice (work income vs. personal expenses)
    11. How much do I have to say about my work or own cost-creation
    12. Public funding, grants, subsidy, project
    13. Fundraising, private financing
    14. Promote your own work and networking

    3. How to work freelance (who is a self-employed person, the difference between the job and the job, what needs to be done, the amount of capital, the options for combining employment, studies and trades)
    5. Tax issues, social and health insurance
    6. How to work with others (agreements for work done outside the employment relationship, license agreement, contract of work)
    7. Value added tax, payer - non-taxable person
    8. Basics of accounting (tax records, tax return, invoice, order)
    9. Financial literacy Economic context in the ordinary decision-making process in life or practice (work income vs. personal expenses).
    10. How much do I have to say for my own self-centered work
    11. Public funding, grants, grants, project
    12. Fundraising, private funding (how to get money for projects, sponsorship, donation).
    13. Copyright (what is protected, when and how to negotiate the license to use, license in an online environment)
    14. Establishment of a non-profit organization
    15. Self-regulation (Work-Life Balance, short-term and long-term commitments, one-year work plan)
