Prerequisites
An elementary requirement is completed bachelor's degree at a university, preferably in the audiovisual study field. Students must demonstrate a developed talent and autonomy in helping shape the program of study and artistic ability, leading to creative audiovisual production.

Course objectives
Aim of the course: • introduce with the basic genres of journalism and documentary filmmaking in the world of culture with a strong emphasis on the performing arts • understand the history of traditional conceptions of genre categories outside the area of film and their transformation and development in the field of television and film • acquire the basic concepts of film theory and aesthetics of the document and apply it to the analysis of reading literature or seen film • know and understand the specifics of journalism and documentary films about art and accessed as a possible basis for his own work in the field • create your own TV or film documentary or journalistic work with the theme of theater or other arts Descriptors: student can, and is able to: • orient and form TV formats theatrical journalism • orient themselves and create theater or general cultural document • orient themselves and create a television recording or transmission performances to bilateral adaptation, including adaptation "in the movie theater - film in the theater" independent artistic creation, artistic performance, including critical reflection and self-reflection, is able to define a comprehensive practical or theoretical problem and solve it in a creative way with the use of selected theories, methods, procedures and forms for field • create original, publicly presentable journalistic or documentary work, or an adaptation with audiovisual elements of theater and other forms of performing arts not only to design their own artistic performance, but also lead the group in the process of artistic creation, flexibly adapt dramaturgical and directorial conception, technological solutions, including implementation of production and post production possibilities, conditions, artistic intent and the specific situation • bear the consequences of their own artistic creation from social through economic to social and copyright • presentation of original artistic performance of the whole team or to the public, even in international forums and is ready to bear full responsibility for the work group
Learning outcomes (in Czech)
Studenti se seznámí se základními žánry v oblasti publicistické a dokumentární tvorby ve světě kultury se silným důrazem na divadelní umění. Horizontem práce v předmětu je historie tradičního pojetí jednotlivých žánrových kategorií mimo filmovou oblast, pokračující proměnou jejich funkce v publicistice a dokumentu až ke smyslu celkové taxonomie tvorby tohoto typu.
Syllabus
  • Students will learn the basic genres of journalism and documentary filmmaking in the world of culture with a strong emphasis on the performing arts. Horizon of work in the subject's history of traditional conceptions of genre categories outside the film area, the continuing transformation of their function in journalism and document to the meaning of the overall taxonomy creation of this type. The work is based on a rich design and analysis of samples of current affairs and documentary works and seeks to discover and experience new expressive possibilities. Handful of interesting film samples (types of portraits, types of reports, forms, logs, surveys, columns and others) along with their analytical analysis in the subsequent discussion helps students find their own authorial manuscript. The underlying premise is also reading the selected text associated with expert analysis and in particular to create a short documentary or journalistic format of the arts. 1.
