Prerequisites
Completed subjects of the first two years of the bachelor's study programme. Student has realised projects within the group of optional subjects Individual Technical Project, production meetings included - modular training.

Course objectives
The aim is to enable the student to implement a complex production of a scenic project in one of JAMU theatre through work experience in order to demonstrate the knowledge for set up of the project.
The aim is therefore the application of knowledge and skills gained from the courses of bachelor study programme of stage technology specialization during the planning, implementation and evaluation of the large scale scenic project in the cooperation with an artistic team.
Student can choose Project I as a graduation project (with a choice of Project II and II).
Maximum of 2 students may Project I substitute her/his participation at the leader position in the organization of International Theatre Schools Festival SETKÁNÍ/ENCOUNTER. Then these students do not graduate by set-up but by their achievement at the Festival.
Learning outcomes
After graduation of the subject student acquires wide practical skills concerning the technical arrangement of large-scale scenic project, practical knowledge related to theatre management.
Student is able to work as an equal member of the artistic team, take responsibility for his/her own tasks as well as to assume organizational responsibility for the artistic team within the broader organizational structure of a theatre venue.
Student is able to:
- together with the artistic team to define tasks related to the artistic project, schedule them in time and divide them among individual team members,
- work systematically with his/her time, define own tasks and activities,
- to perform the assigned tasks with respect to the deadlines and the needs of other team members,
- communicate with the team, discuss proposed solutions and reach common consensus.
- use his/her knowledge to design set up of the performance and technical solution of non-standard requirements.
The student is able to reflect own practical activities and is ready for processing the documentation of the Graduation Project.
Syllabus
  • Practical implementation of theoretical and practical knowledge with this syllabus:
    - project planning of the artistic project and its position within a dramaturgical plan of a given theatre,
    - participation of technical solution with the with the stage designer,
    - design of technical solution of set up in the case of the run of theatre,
    - fire and security protection during of the set up and props,
    - staffing of an artistic scenic project with regard to the organizational structure of the theater,
    - management of communication and information flows, team dynamics of the artistic team.
    Student is a member of the creative team (with no fixed model structure of the team - students, teachers and professional artists in creative positions are involved). This team creates a theatrical production in the school theater venue that is simulating a professional theater institution including organizational processes.
    Implementing a practical technical part of the artistic project the student respects the technical employees obligations, which are stipulated in the document Guidelines for projects delivered within the internal environment of DF JAMU (specialization of Stage Technology).
    The result is a practical realization of the artistic project, ie.publicly and repeatedly presented theatrical production, which is part of the public offer of the JAMU theater within one season for which artistic teams reports to the dramaturgy board of given season.

Discussions, heuristic methods, individual and team work of students, presentations, guided practice.
Assessment methods
Graded credit on the basis of:
- practical activities in order to fulfill the project plan of the respective theatre project,
- on the basis of the regular personnel and process evaluation of the members of the artistic team in the framework of the regular meetings of the theater (explanatory, delivery, operational and evaluation meetings),
- on the basis of an assessment of compliance with the technical obligations set out in the document Guidelines for projects delivered within the internal environment of DF JAMU (specialization of Stage Technology), assessment is given by the teacher of this course,
- on the basis of processed and in term hand in written documentation,
- based on the feedback from the dramaturgy board of given season.
