Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with a historical insight into the field of literature for children and young people from the beginning of the 1990s to the present day. From the point of view of theory and history, students will get to know key authors and their works and basic terminology. Students will gain an overview of individual thematic areas, genre definitions, and the current production of literature for children and youth.
In connection with the field of study, attention is also paid to literature as a starting point for theatre work with children and youth. The subject is also focused on the possibilities of using literature for children and young people when working with a children's theater group or theatre for children (searching for themes, subjects, genre, production key, etc.).
