Prerequisites
Student completed course of team building for first grade students of production management and stage management and technology. Student completed winter semester of International Theatre Festival Management I.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is the application of theater management through work experience. Students are participating on a large scale project (festival SETKÁNÍ/ENCOUNTER) and they are guided to apply theoretical skills gained within the first year of their bachelor studies under supervision.
Student is involved at the basic organizational level of the festival team, he/she is able to evaluate his/her own work and give feedback to other students involved.
Learning outcomes
After graduation of the subject student acquires basic practical skills concerning the organization of the festival, practical legal knowledge related to theatre/event management. Student is able to work in a team and take responsibility for his/her own tasks and perceives links between individual activities within the broader organizational structure.
Syllabus
  • Student is involved in organizing the International Festival of Theatre Schools SETKÁNÍ/ENCOUNTER (course DDML161) at the basic organizational level, including ongoing peer review and self-evaluation in the seminar.
    Theoretical reflection takes place within the scope of the organization of the international theater festival through design, implementation and evaluation of basic project tasks with this syllabus:
    - Involvement in the organizational structure at basic organizational article, responsibilities and powers of the specific organizational structure according to the project
    - Operational planning activities, problem solving, evaluation and feedback
    - Teamwork and collaboration, interdisciplinary communication (connection to the field of stage technology, dramaturgy, directing, acting, etc.)
    - Assessment of teams, self-assessment, evaluation by coordinator.

Graded credit on the basis of:
- Practical work in class
- Written output section for the current edition of the festival (project documentation of the organizational section, a list of post-production activities).
Evaluation is carried by sectional team leader together with teacher and festival coordinator.
