- Course objectives
- The main goal is to gain basic knowledge of social psychology, personality research in the social world, interpersonal interaction and communication, familiarity with the most important study and research. Emphasis is also placed on the use of socio-psychological knowledge in the field of theater practice, Management, Social psychology of small groups (the concept of group dynamics) and on the possibility of linking social psychological theories (research) and selected psychotherapeutic approaches (theories); the focus of the course is the issue of interpersonal communication and creative conflict resolution when working with people. - Students are acquainted with themes of social psychology in the basic range. - Students learn to apply their knowledge in group work and in social communication in general. Introduction of psychohygiene techniques forms an important goal of the course.
- Learning outcomes
- Students can suggest appropriate ways of management when working with a team; and justify the chosen process; - students can analyze and reflect on the communication situation in a group, use effective ways of communicating and principles of active listening when working in a team; - students can apply knowledge in recognizing stressful situations in groups; and they can look for ways to effectively overcome stressful situations by applying elements of psychohygiene; students can use various psychohygiene techniques for sustainable development of their personality Students will learn to apply: - diagnostic methods, which can also be used by non-psychologists, - Learn how to practically deal with situations of practice (interview, meeting management, expert estimation of abilities and talents), - Information on the formation of teams and their compilation in practice, greater social sensitivity and art of motivation, increase of creativity, - Familiarity with time planning and goal setting including practical experience. - Introduction to the psychology of work - Corporate culture and management methods – the personality of a manager - People and organizations - Creating teams - Time management - Test methods - Stressful situations and their management and resolution - Management of personal interviews

- Social psychology: methods of social psychology, socialization, social perception, attitudes, classification and function of social groups, position and role in the group, social communication and interaction; group work methods: brainstorming, brainwriting, mind maps, swapping, teamwork: social loafing X social facilitation, groupthink; team roles, team development, teambuilding; evaluation and self-evaluation COMMUNICATION: approaches, perspectives, themes of communication, understanding the assumptions, the process of communication, communication styles, negotiation, communication skills, active listening, communication interpersonal relationships, pragmatics of human communication, communication errors and failures, rules of communication when chairing a meeting, transactional analysis CONFLICTS IN ORGANIZATIONS, CONFLICT SOLUTION: competition and cooperation, modeling of conflict situations, the conditions for the emergence of an atmosphere of trust and development cooperation, conflict resolution strategies; character and ethics in manager´s work, STRESS AND CRISIS: practical techniques of stress management and psychohygiene, relaxation techniques, mindfulness, time management
