- Course objectives
- The aim is to acquaint students with the basics of management, managerial work and a sense of the role that managers play in art institutions or project teams.
- Learning outcomes
- Knowledge:
The graduate is able to describe managerial functions and their importance in system theory of management. She/he is able to apply this theory to the practical projects she/he is taking during the study, as well as examples from the practice of the management of cultural institutions. The graduate will get answers to questions about whether management is practice or science and whether management is science or art.
Skills:
Graduate is able to plan and distinguish types of plans. Understands the difference between the project and the strategy. Graduate is familiar with other sequential management functions, i.m. organization (can choose a suitable organizational structure, possibly combine them), understands the basics of human resources management, understands basic principles of leadership and control. - Syllabus (in Czech)

Metody výuky: přednáška, práce s textem, samostatná práce studentů - Assessment methods (in Czech)
- Hodnocení probíhá na základě zkoušky. Pro vykonání zkoušky musí student splnit 80 % přítomnosti na přednáškách, nepřítomnost řádně omluvit e-mailem vyučující. Zkoušení probíhá ústní formou, student si z témat ZA CELÝ AKADEMICKÝ ROK , losuje dva okruhy ze zimního semestru a dva z letního. Řešení dílčích zadání pro seminární část výuky je samozřejmostí.
