Course objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize students (not only) with the basic concepts of professional terminology in relation to topics related to skills development - from project and time management to personal development (self-presentation, strengths and weaknesses, working with CVs), self-development and growth/well-being, burnout/non-burnout, to the use/abuse of technology in the implementation of their own activities. Everything will be discussed on a platform based on examples of students' own projects, so that the topics are familiar to students and ideally drawn from their previous experience.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to:
a) understand basic terminology in the field and use it correctly;
b) reflect on their own values, role, and professional vision (soft skills, well-being, career);
c) work effectively with time—plan and manage their time and energy;
d) correctly use tools for managing stage fright, stress, and burnout prevention;
e) apply the principles of healthy communication and conflict resolution;
f) understand the principles of teamwork and leadership (not only in artistic practice);
g) present their ideas/projects (and themselves) in a cultivated, clear, and confident manner;
Syllabus
  • Course content:
  • - basics of professional terminology in the areas covered;
  • - effective time management – principles and tools;
  • - self-presentation and communication skills;
  • - teamwork, motivation, leadership, people management, group dynamics, relationship building, professional roles, personal vision;
  • - Productivity, prioritization, well-being, burnout;
  • - Emotional intelligence in practice;
  • - Misuse/use of technology and suitability of available tools;
  • - Legal aspects of the topics covered;

Teaching methods
Regular classes (seminars, exercises)

Students reflect on the knowledge gained during joint meetings (including follow-up self-study) and verify it in practice independently (or while working in small teams) when completing assigned practical exercises/tasks. The results are continuously presented and reflected upon by the teacher and other colleagues.
Assessment methods
A graded credit is awarded based on the evaluation of the following sub-parameters:
a) attendance (at least 70% attendance at joint seminars; two "presentations" are mandatory);
b) presentation of current events (interesting facts) related to some of the topics discussed during joint seminars;
c) preparation of a personal resume (targeted for a specific opportunity); this includes a presentation of conclusions within the seminar /mandatory attendance/;
d) preparation of a "job interview" and testing of various roles/situations (employee/employer) - this will take place within the seminar /mandatory attendance/.
