Course objectives
The primary aim of the course is to provide basic information about stage lighting techniques and show them in practice. It is especially recommended to students interested in Master study of lighting design and students of fields requiring an elementary knowledge of lighting, such as set-design, stage direction or physical theater.

The course consists in a three day workshop at the theater Na Orlí (typically in September and January, see exact dates at "informace ucitele"). It is divided into 3 main parts: 1) a theoretical introduction, 2) demonstrations and practical exercices 3) creative task worked out in groups

The course gives the same importance to the technical and creative aspects of lighting design and it will provide participants with a good base that they can develop in further study or practical work.
Learning outcomes (in Czech)
Student bude po absolvování předmětu schopen:
- vytvořit základní světelnou koncepci
- prezentovat tuto koncepci v rámci tvůrčího týmu
- vytvořit scénář světelných změn a základní světelný plán
- definovat své požadavky na světelné vybavení (typy reflektorů a dalších zařízení, filtry) - definovat své požadavky v komunikaci s operátorem pultu při programování světelných změn

Třídenní workshop v divadle na Orlí či jiném vybaveném divadelním prostoru školy, vedený pedagogy DIFA JAMU, případně ve spolupráci s externími pedagogy

V zimním semestru nabízíme dvě možnosti splnění předmětu:
1) 26. - 28.11. 2019 v budově školy (učebna 013) pod vedením Bena Ratcliffa, pedagoga světelného designu z Rose Bruford College v Londýně.
2) 28. - 30. 1. 2020 ve studiu Marta pod vedením pedagogů ASD

Workshop bude probíhat každý den v čase maximálně 10-18h. Prosím, pokuste se na tyto termíny uvolnit, přesný harmonogram práce ve skupinách bude definován první den workshopu.

In Winter semester you can attend the Lighting design workshop in one of the following periods:
1) 26-28 November 2019, School building at Mozartova 1, room 013, workshop leader: Ben Ratcliffe from Rose Bruford College
2) 28 - 30 January 2020 at Marta studio. Workshop leaders: Pavla Beranova and Vladimir Burian
