- Course objectives
- The aim of the study is to master scenographic creation as a crucial part of a theatrical production or other work of art. The development of scenographic thinking and own creativity with an emphasis on the creative process and creativity also respects the artistic and technical side of the project. - Learning outcomes
- outputs: - developing the ability to formulate one's own scenographic solutions, mastering the basic expressive means of scenographic creation. - improvement in creative communication, work in a creative team - mastering the technological processing of the assigned project at a level corresponding to the requirements of a professional theater - gaining experience working in an experimental/non-theatrical space - mastering the analysis of given text, researching and studying documents and materials - acquiring the ability to see inspirations and facts in context (and beyond)
- Syllabus
- - getting to know the assigned space - the entire building of the Center of Experimental Theatre in Brno. Guided tour, study of history and context. - being presented with the assigned texts - these are two titles that will be part of the actual dramaturgical plan of the following DHNP season. - analysis and study of the text, authors, historical context, correlation with present issues - searching and finding one's own personal themes in given texts and topics - preliminary selection of space, revisiting the building, photo documentation, getting needed size specifications - material and spatial studies, conceptual and technological consultations (group and individual) - drawing and 3D modeling of the chosen space, 2D and 3D studies/sketches - finalization of the project
