- Course objectives
- Objectives: To acquaint the student with all the ways of working with sound, sound reinforcement and recording all technologies related to them.
Descriptors: Student theoretically sound engineer knows all the ways of activities used in the course Fundamentals of stage sound and stage practice sound. - Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- use the acquired knowledge and insights in practice,
- identify and apply appropriate sound capture systems and methods for individual occasions,
- design a system of acoustic measures for sound attenuation or refraction in a room. - Syllabus
- Sound as a physical phenomenon (sound origin, characteristics and distribution, volume levels)
- The conversion of acoustic energy into electricity (electroacoustic transducers, principles of transformation)
- Microphones (frequency and spatial characteristics, properties and their use)
- Fundamentals of acoustics (building and room acoustics, shock absorbing materials, resonators)
- Sounding (string sound, input, types of wiring, connectors, cabling)
- Types of Equipment (method, uses)
- Schemes acoustic strings and the possibility of modulating (standard level)
- Principles of sound recording (voice, musical instruments, sound effects and ambience)
- Systems and methods for recording and sound reinforcement environments (theater, film, live concert, studio)
