- Course objectives
- - To introduce students to the basics of project management and terminology, to enable them to understand the scope of project management and thinking, their benefits and possibilities of use. - Implement the listener preparation and implementation of the project into consideration before starting the project and the final evaluation. - Explain the basic methods and techniques of project management and virtually try them on the processing tasks assigned seminar. - To introduce students to the broader issues associated with planning and implementation of projects to touch topics that will be discussed more deeply in related subjects Cultural Project I. and II.
- Learning outcomes
KNOWLEDGE
The student will be able to:
- explain basic project management terms (project, project objective, project triple constraint, project management, context, scope and content of a project, project idea, etc.),
- describe the project life cycle and explain the purpose of its individual phases,
- describe a SMART objective,
- describe and explain the purpose and procedure for carrying out various types of analysis (e.g. SWOT analysis, stakeholder analysis, post-implementation project analysis),
- describe the scope of the project initiation and closure phases,
- list and describe the methods and techniques used in the project planning phase (project canvas, work breakdown structure, list of activities, Gantt chart, project budget and cash flow, risk point analysis, the RIPRAN method, responsibility matrix, etc.),
- list and describe methods used to assess the status of a project during its implementation,
- explain the difference between a team and a group,
- describe and explain the principles and stages of team dynamics,
- list and describe basic methods of team collaboration.
SKILLS
Based on a model project brief, students are able to:
- define its basic attributes, assumptions and limitations,
- use a SWOT analysis to identify, describe and evaluate its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats,
- use a stakeholder analysis to identify and describe stakeholders and propose ways of collaborating with them,
- define the main and project objectives, outputs and activities, including setting success criteria and methods for verifying them,
- draw up an implementation plan based on fundamental project management methods and techniques,
- identify and analyse its key risks and propose measures to mitigate these risks,
- propose methods for evaluating the project,
- organise team meetings in accordance with the principles of effective meeting management,
- apply basic methods of teamwork when tackling tasks related to the model project,
- present and discuss their proposals for tackling the model project with their team members and the course tutor.
COMPETENCIES
The student is able to:
- work with the team to define tasks, schedule them and allocate them amongst individual team members,
- manage their time systematically, define their own tasks and activities,
- carry out assigned tasks whilst taking into account set deadlines and the needs of other team members,
- communicate with the team, discuss proposed solutions and reach a mutual consensus,
- critically and independently study key and supplementary materials and sources assigned by the lecturer.- Syllabus

- Form of teaching 3-day course - lecture/seminar Number of contact hours: 24 Number of hours the student's self: 24 Teaching methods Student knowledge from lectures and self-reflect and practically verified in individual and teamwork while processing assigned practical exercises. The results of these exercises are continuously presented and reflected both the teacher and other students. - Assessment methods
- summer semester This course is completed graded credit. For successful completion of the course it is necessary to be a participant / participate in at least 80% of teaching in the seminary, in teams handle a total of six practical exercises (topics: lean canvas, stakeholder analysis, project canvas, work breakdown structure, project schedule, risk analysis). The percentage weight rating: - Active presence in hours: 20% rating, - Elaboration of practical exercises: 80% rating, incl. verbal feedback educator (used to validate the skills and proficiency of the student).
