Mezinárodní konference HF JAMU si vytkla za cíl poskytnout širokou platformu pro reflexi aktuálních trendů a výzkumných témat na poli hudebního umění, hudební vědy, hudebního managementu, či hudební pedagogiky a jejich vzájemných přesahů. Setkání se snažilo organicky propojit výzkum uvedených oblastí do širokého spektra možných uměleckých či vědeckých přístupů. Akce byla otevřena široké odborné a umělecké veřejnosti. Druhý tematický blok konference byl věnován odbornému odkazu muzikologa a bývalého pedagoga JAMU, prof. PhDr. Jana Trojana, CSc. (1926-2015).

The international conference of the Faculty of Music of JAMU set itself the goal of providing a broad platform for reflection on current trends and research topics in the field of musical art, musicology, music management, and music pedagogy and their mutual overlaps. The meeting sought to organically connect research in the aforementioned areas into a wide spectrum of possible artistic or scientific approaches. The event was open to a wide professional and artistic public. The second thematic block of the conference was dedicated to the professional legacy of the musicologist and former JAMU teacher, Prof. PhDr. Jan Trojan, CSc. (1926-2015).
