Francouzský skladatel Olivier Messiaen patří k nejvýznamnějším hudebním osobnostem 20. století. Proslul především jako autor monumentálních kompozic náboženského zaměření, neméně významná však byla i jeho pedagogická činnost. Prostřednictvím své třídy analýzy zásadním způsobem ovlivnil poválečnou generaci skladatelů a hudebních teoretiků. Odrazem Messiaenovy pedagogické práce jsou jeho hudebně-teoretické spisy, které dosud nevídaným způsobem odhalují nejen jeho analytické postupy, ale i celý myšlenkový svět. The French composer Olivier Messiaen is one of the most important musical figures of the 20th century. He became famous primarily as the author of monumental compositions of religious orientation, but his pedagogical activity was no less significant. Through his analysis class, he fundamentally influenced the post-war generation of composers and music theorists. Messiaen's pedagogical work is reflected in his music-theoretical writings, which reveal not only his analytical procedures, but also his entire world of thought in an unprecedented way. The article focuses on the research of these texts, the issue of their translation and the possibilities of their use in research and interpretation practice.
