Přednáška představila osobnost skladatele, filozofa a veřejného intelektuála Romana Bergera a přiblížila jeho pojetí umělecké tvorby. Bergerovo hudební i textové dílo se věnuje otázkám paměti, mlčení, odpovědnosti a etického postoje k dějinám, tvorbě i ke kulturnímu a společenskému jednání. Součástí přednášky byly ukázky z jeho skladeb a citace z esejí, které ilustrují jeho hluboce promyšlený a hodnotově zakotvený přístup k umění a světu.

The lecture introduced the personality of the composer, philosopher and public intellectual Roman Berger and brought his concept of artistic creation closer to mind. Berger's musical and lyrical work deals with issues of memory, silence, responsibility and ethical stance towards history, creation and cultural and social action. The lecture included samples from his compositions and quotes from essays that illustrate his deeply thought-out and value-based approach to art and the world.
