In English

This output consists of a series of short films created as part of the second performative experiment within the doctoral artistic research project MONSTER SINGS (MONŠTRUM SPIEVA). Moving beyond traditional documentation, these films function as a deliberate "reburying" of the research, employing a methodology of reverse archaeology to explore trans vocality and the figure of the operatic prompter. The films investigate the friction between the body and the voice, utilizing Dvořák’s Rusalka as an artifact to be "incorrectly restored" through fragmentation, distortion, and noise. By focusing on the prompter—a liminal figure historically excluded from authorship yet essential to the operatic machine—the work draws a parallel to the trans subject’s existence in the "wings" of society. Instead of offering radical transparency, the films embrace opacity and indeterminacy as protective strategies and productive sites of knowledge. The visual material serves as a curated ruin of the performative process, challenging the viewer to actively engage with the remnants of a voice that refuses to be fully captured or categorized by institutional archives.
