V originále
The Wilde family, from which the most famous representative Oscar Wilde emerged, has been among the important artists who maintained contact with living social processes since the mid-nineteenth century. Oscar Wilde's mother, Lady Jane Wilde, was the author of socially critical poems, a collector of folk literature and a supporter of the feminist movement. Oscar's fate connected with Alfred Douglas, culminating in the writer's imprisonment for homosexuality, added an important dimension to his literary work, which is still published today, from which the LGBT+ movement benefits even more than 125 years after the famous artist's death. Oscar's niece, whom he never met, remained in the shadow of history and only recently has her fate begun to be revised - on the border of art, feminism, and an independent family idiosyncrasy, she joined the French military ambulance during the First World War as a teenager and was a significant representative of the French lesbian literary and artistic world until the end of her life.
