Rodina držitele Nobelovy ceny za literaturu Thomase Manna je zdrojem inspirace pro autory Queer literatury, divadla, filmu a umění obecně. Jeho syn Klaus Mann patřil k nejvýznamnějším dramatikům a literátům queer tvorby v Německu (v časech před nástupem Hitlera k moci). Dcera Erika Mann je zakladatelkou evropsky proslulého kabaretu Die Pfeffermühle, strůjkyní divadla protestu i válečnou korespondentkou. Jejich život poznamenaly historické okolnosti a jejich queer tvorba byla z politických důvodů na dlouhá desetiletí utajena….

The family of Nobel Prize winner Thomas Mann is a source of inspiration for authors of Queer literature, theater, film and art in general. His son Klaus Mann was one of the most important playwrights and writers of queer work in Germany (in the times before Hitler came to power). His daughter Erika Mann is the founder of the European famous cabaret Die Pfeffermühle, the architect of protest theater and a war correspondent. Their lives were marked by historical circumstances and their queer work was kept secret for many decades for political reasons….
