A workshop led by Mgr. Katarína Koišová, dramaturg and PhD candidate at the Faculty of Arts, JAMU, on the topic of dramaturgy in theatre and storytelling. The design of the workshop was prepared by the instructor under the methodological supervision of project leader Kateřina Jebavá. The workshop introduced participants to the dramaturgical profession, focusing primarily on its role in theatre and its core principles. Participants worked in groups with a dramatic text (selected scenes from the plays Maryša and Romeo and Juliet) as if they were preparing the text for rehearsal. They were introduced to the principles of dramaturgical analysis and text adaptation. After reflecting on their work with the text, they rehearsed the processed text into a mini-production. During the reflection on the collaborative creative work, participants shared their own experiences and ideas on how to incorporate these learned methods into their own pedagogical practice.
