Předmětem výzkumu článku je reflexe umělecké tvorby Marie Jeritzy v kontextu historického tisku a komparace jejího vnímání v českých a německých periodikách vydávaných v českých zemích. Text se také zaměřuje na biografii operní pěvkyně Marie Jeritzy, její hlasový typ a interpretační praxi (včetně výběru rolí, které ve svém životě interpretovala). Studie také pojednává o recepci Marie Jeritzy v kulturním kontextu města Brna.

The subject of this research is the reflection of the artistic work of Maria Jeritza inthe context of historical press and the comparision of perceptions in Czech and German periodicals published in the Czech lands. This article also focused on the biography of opera singer Maria Jeritza, her voice type, and her practice of interpretation.It includes a selection of roles which she interpreted in her life. This study also discusses the reception of Maria Jeritza in the cultural context of the city of Brno.
