Workshop sa zaoberá analýzou príbehovej štruktúry a porovnávaním americkej a európskej scenáristickej tradície. Počas troch stretnutí sa študenti zoznamujú so základným trojaktovým systémom a jeho aplikáciou vo filme Diary of a Chambermaid / Journal d'une Femme de Chambre (1964 a 2015). Ďalej sa zamerajú na analýzu vlastných príbehov a ich zhodu / nezhodu s danou štruktúrou. V poslednej časti workshopu študenti porovnávajú rôzne scenáristické prístupy k príbehu Denníku komornej a diskutujú o preferenciách a vplyvoch jednotlivých scenáristických tradícií. Študenti získavajú praktické skúsenosti a názor rozdielnosť rôznych prístupov k tvorbe príbehov.

The workshop focuses on analyzing narrative structure and comparing the American and European screenwriting tradition. Over the course of three sessions, students become acquainted with the basic three-act story structure and its application in the film Diary of a Chambermaid / Journal d'une Femme de Chambre (1964 and 2015). They then concentrate on analyzing their own stories and their alignment with this structure. In the final part of the workshop, students compare various screenwriting approaches to Diary of a Chambermaid and discuss preferences and influences of different screenwriting traditions. Students gain practical experience and insights into the differences of various approaches to storytelling.
