Není jistě ničím neobvyklým, když v uměleckých kruzích jablko nepadá daleko od stromu, případně se oněch jablek urodí i více. Nestává se ale příliš často, aby byl génius v jablku obsažený rozséván tak vehementně jako v případě potomků, sourozenců a dalších příbuzných věhlasného filmového skladatele Alfreda Newmana. A řeč nemůže být ani o tom, že by si nastupující generace Newmanů vydobyla renomé pouze díky svému rodokmenu. Alfredovi synové Thomas a David jsou rovnocennými kolegy skladatelů stojících v současné době v první linii hudebně-filmové produkce.

In English

It is certainly common in artistic world for an apple not to fall far from a tree. However, it is not very often that the genius contained in the apple is sown as actively as in the case of the descendants, siblings and other relatives of the famous film composer Alfred Newman. And it can't be said that the next generation of Newmans have gained a reputation only thanks to their ancestry. Alfred's sons Thomas and David are equal colleagues of composers currently at the forefront of music film production.
