Kniha se věnuje hereckým cvičením Josefa Karlíka v kontextu herecké tvůrčí práce. Vývoj těchto procesů byl iniciován Josefem Karlíkem v jednom z ateliérů na JAMU. Kniha se věnuje příspěvku originálního přístupu Josefa Karlíka, herce a pedagoga, k vývoji hereckých cvičení na škole i možnému použití těchto cvičení v jiné divadelní praxi. Mimo profesionální a veřejné zdroje autorka staví na vlastní analýze studentských improvizací, rozhovorech s Karlíkovými žáky a kolegy. Komparativní studie Karlíkova a Vyskočilova přístupu představuje další část výzkumu. Principy Karlíkova přístupu byly použity a zkoumány v rámci tvorby a repríz divadelní inscenace Viva la vida! FRIDA?

The book deals with educational processes in the context of the actor's creative work. The development of those processes was started by Josef Karlík in one of the drama section studios at JAMU. The book deals with the contribution of Josef Karlík, actor and teacher, with his original approach to teaching creative work, with other development of his actor exersises at JAMU as well as with the possible application of these processes in other theatre practice. Besides professional and public resources, the author relies on her own analysis of students' improvisations and on interviews with Josef Karlík's graduates and close associates. A comparative study of Josef Karlík's Acting Exercises and (Inter)acting with the Inner Partner or Partners by Ivan Vyskočil forms a part of the research. The principles of Josef Karlík's Acting Exercises were used, examined and analyzed within the creation and reprising of a theatre performance Viva la vida! FRIDA?
