Parts of the final state examination and its content

The state final examination in the study programme Multimedia Creation in the bachelor's degree consists of:
- public performance or exposition and defense of the graduate multimedia performance / work (project, composition, realization in public space ..)
- writing, submission and defense of a bachelor's thesis in the form of a professional essay of min. 20 standard pages of text without attachments,
- exams from: History of Music and Fine Arts, Theory of Multimedia Creation and Theory of Composition

The bachelor's graduate performance or exposition consists of the implementation of an interdisciplinary composition, usually in the form of a comprehensive and informative musical-visual installation, interactive environment, concert, film or theater performance, etc. The technical and artistic level of all components is significantly elaborated and follows current artistic trends. The student consults all parameters of the work with the supervisor of the graduate performance, or with another professional consultant or technologist. Consultations concern the music, art, movement and stage components, technical, etc. The graduate performance can be realized in the HF Chamber Hall, in the corridors of the HF building, in the DnO hall or rehearsal rooms and in other suitable spaces .). The time range is set at a minimum of 15 minutes of necessary audience attention.

The evaluation of the graduate performance or exposition includes the profile of the graduate prepared by the supervisor of the outcome, a written opinion of the opponent of the graduate performance, defense of the graduate performance or exposition at the state final examination and possible feedback of participating students and spectators (especially from the professional public).

Requirements of the study

Students are obliged to present their multimedia works and compositions at concerts and stage performances, for example in the Studies of Contemporary Music, at festivals, exhibitions and creative workshops, occasionally in public spaces. Implementation and public presentation of compulsory study outcomes under the supervision of a teacher is not only a demonstration of acquired practical skills, but also a demonstration of competencies using the necessary knowledge and orientation in current events in the field. Cooperation with other components of the creative team in the creation of interdisciplinary, inter-faculty and inter-school projects, obtaining feedback and reflection on implementation issues within the seminar, etc. also contribute to the student's professional experience. Assessment methods are in accordance with the planned learning outcomes and lead to the achievement of the required graduate profile. All requirements for study outcomes are listed in the syllabus of the course; they are set up to lead to the gradual acquisition of knowledge, skills and competencies assumed by the graduate of the study program.
