- There are many definitions of e-learning, which were created at different times. Due to continuous dynamic development of e-learning itself, as well as related information and communication technologies, often differ significantly. Some are too simple and too contrary, some academic, some are very wide, some narrow meaning too. Let us mention some of them, used in various materials recently: E-learning is learning using computer technology and the Internet. E-learning is essentially the use of any electronic, material and teaching resources to effectively achieve the educational goals that are realized mainly / only through computer networks. In the Czech environment, associated mainly controlled study within the LMS. E-learning is a learning process, using information and communication technologies to create courses, to distribute learning content, communication between students and teachers and management studies. E-learning is a form of learning that uses multimedia elements - presentations and texts with links, animated sequences, video images, shared workspace, communication with the teacher and classmates, tests, electronic processes models, etc. in a learning management system (LMS). This is the type of learning in which the acquisition and use of knowledge is distributed and facilitated electronic devices. E-learning involves both theory and research, as well as any educational process (with varying degrees of intentionality), which are consistent with the ethical principles used by information and communication technology, working with data in electronic form. The current use of ICT and the availability of teaching materials depend mainly on educational objectives and content, the nature of the learning environment, needs and capacities of all actors in the educational process. Out of the definitions, inter alia, that the e-learning incorporates a range of sub-activities that can be linked into a coherent system, but it also may not. It may be a vast distance courses full of character and sophisticated instruments of collaborative learning, on the contrary, it can only go about adding full-time education. Appropriate ICT tools are many: exposure study materials on the Internet or intranet, offer them related self-tests, communication through discussion forums, e-mails and other synchronous or asynchronous communication tools. All of these tools should be integrated for this purpose therefore serve specialized applications for managing the education process - LMS (Learning Management System). These systems are many, apart from a few dozen famous, there are hundreds of systems with varying ranges.
