Course objectives
To manage a work with the harmonization of its own, so reharmonization of the songs.
Syllabus
  • To learn about and acquire practical system reharmonization from simple to complex, complicated and more sophisticated. Start with chords, change to the chords and ninth chord, complement harmonious approach other functional chords, such as alternating dominant, the foreign dominant, use more II-V process, where it is possible to tunes use chords modal interchange, select chords that increase melodic and harmonic tension, create a bass line for example. walking semitones and whole tones up or down to add chords that will rewrite the melody (in this case, we do not have the power to keep functional harmony, but we need to engage your ears and taste), use the same harmonic the structure of the bass delay. Focus is also on the structure of individual well-sounding chords and their voices leadership within the extended harmonic forms. Reharmonization of standard jazz to classical jazz quartet of their choice.
