Course objectives
Broadening knowledge of their own tools and application of acquired knowledge in the related subjects such as jazz improvisation and jazz harmony.
Syllabus
  • Continued improvement in the technical skills of the artist. BLUES study forms and harmonically related songs. Practicing improvisation in dominant nuclei. Reharmonizační techniques in practice. Working with rhythmic phrases and shifts in improvisation. Topics and blues standards. Emphases in the discussed material each tool: a) wind instruments - tuning and articulation, melodic thinking b) harmonic instruments - develop harmonious concepts and enrichment given forms c) bass - walking bass lines and communication with percussion d) The drum kit - rhythmic approaches discussed at playing forms, rhythmic improvisation
