- Course objectives
- The joy of singing together, the beginnings of orientation in polyphony with emphasis on intonation, rhythm, phrasing and overall expression in the performance of pieces of different musical styles. The ability to perceive and hear each other.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing one semester of ensemble singing, the student will be able to: - orient themselves in the music material; - be aware of and maintain the intonation of their own voice among others in 2 and 3-part pieces with piano accompaniment; - interpret all the material memorized
- Syllabus
- Simple rhythmic and intonation exercises, singing with piano accompaniment - introduction to different musical styles: folk song (Christmas carols), classical music, pop, jazz. Gradual penetration into simple polyphony - canon 2 - 6 voices, basics of improvisation, creative approach. At the end of the semester, application of the rehearsed material in practice (pre-Christmas performances using rehearsed carols and songs with Christmas themes.
