  • Předmět se zabývá novými trendy ve vzdělávání neslyšících dětí a mládeže a zaměřuje se také na sledování polemiky, která problematiku stále provází. Zabývá se také ranou péčí o sluchově postižené děti. Důležitým tématem jsou současné metody vzdělávání sluchově postižených dětí a mládeže od metody orální po metodu bilingvální. Dále se zabývá možnostmi vzdělávání dospělých neslyšících a péčí o neslyšící seniory.
