- Course objectives
- Objectives:
To deepen the student's knowledge in the field of legal regulation of basic managerial tools of realization of artistic creation in the field of labor law and civil law.
Student will thus be able to orientate in the current legal regulation of these areas and apply the legal regulations to specific situations in the realization of artistic dramatic and musical creation.
Student will be able, as an organizer, a co-organizer, a representative of an artistic institution or a representative of artists to use and create legal documents for individual managerial tasks. - Learning outcomes
- Knowledge:
The student will deepen the knowledge of the labor law and civil law issues of creation in the field of dramatic and musical art from the position of the organizer, co-organizer, representative of the artistic institution, agency or representative of the artist.
Skills:
The student is able to find adequate legal solutions in the implementation of management activities of organizing, fundraising, marketing and other necessary contacts of dramatic and musical creation.
Student is able to find and comprehensively formulate proposals for appropriate legal ensuring for these activities.
In negotiating with relevant partners student is able to accurately formulate the requirements and assess the optimality of the solutions proposed by them.
Competences:
Student is instructed holder of legal knowledge and is able to negotiate the required contractual relationships to use the rights of others.
The student understands the technology of labor law and civil law solutions of both the creation and use of individual management tools.
Student is able to find independently the appropriate form of contractual relationship between the partners and to prepare the relevant legal documents. - Syllabus
- Course contents:
Labor law issues - employment, employment contracts, appointment, agreements on work done outside the employment relationship, forms of termination of employment. - Civil law issues - contracts for work including work with intangible results, protection of personal rights (except for copyright issues, law in fundraising, marketing, grant issues, co-organizing, agency activities.

- Teaching methods
- Student acquires declared skills through an individual or team solution of the given problem, including the possibility to solve a fictitious project.
Student must be able to respond, prepare the solution and defend it from others, as well as respond to the solutions of others.
Student works independently with a legal texts, basic knowledge of this text is prerequisite.
Teacher introduces the problem, directs the search for the right solutions, and evaluates the proposed procedures. - Assessment methods
