Course objectives
The aim is to present the development of clothing from the 17th century to the present, in the broader context of sociological, historical and cultural. Students will be able to distinguish the clothing styles of each epoch, to understand the relation of fashion and other areas of life, they will understand the used materials, textile and clothing cuts ties .

  • Changes of fashion in 19th century.
  • Fashion of the 20th century in the Czech lands and in the world.
  • World´s institutions and collections of fashion.
