- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce the basic categories of thinking about directing and dramaturgy within the European drama tradition. First, attention is paid to drama as a distinct literary genre and to the history of directing and dramaturgy as a relation of these disciplines to dramatic literature. Subsequently, the essential analytical categories for drama (conflict, situation, plot, synopsis, chronotope) will be discussed, and the course will conclude with reflections on the formulation of a directorial-dramaturgical concept and its realization in the course of the creation of a staging form. The creation of the new course, the modification of the content or teaching methods of the course was supported by the project CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/16_015/0002245 Increasing the quality of education at JAMU
