Course objectives
Objectives: To deepen knowledge of copyright (the authors' rights and the rights of performers) as well as of follow-up relations from the field of intellectual property rights protection to enable students to understand the current legislation of copyright area and to apply the legislation to specific situations in the arts according to students` comprehensive preparation and justification of the legal instruments used to solve the problem of copyright.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
Student will deepen the knowledge of copyright issues in the field of dramatic and musical art both from the position of author, performer, producer of sound and audio-video records, but also from the position of users. Student focuses on media law.

Skills:
Students can search for adequate ways how to use considered works of art or artistic performances, audio and audiovisual recordings. Student can find the appropriate license to ensure these user rights. In discussions with agencies and collective administrators is able to accurately formulate requirements and assess their optimality of the proposed solutions. Student knows issues of periodical and non-periodical publications as well as the legislation of television and radio broadcasting.

Competences:
Student is instructed licence holder and can arrange the required obligations for the use other holder of rights. Student understands the technology of copyright solutions of artistic creation as well as of use of objects of copyright protection from the part of an user (especially an art institution). Student can individually find an adequate form of the necessary contractual relationships between users and holders of licences and prepare appropriate license agreements. Students is so eligible to communicate with management of an art institutions and art agencies (collective administrators) to ensure copyright for the realization of artistic creation.

Student must be able to respond, prepare the solution and defend it from others, as well as respond to the solutions of others.
Student works independently with a legal texts, basic knowledge of this text is prerequisite.
Teacher introduces the problem, directs the search for the right solutions, and evaluates the proposed procedures.
Assessment methods
Student receives during an active involvement formative assessment, and is finally classified according a written test.

Objectives:
To deepen the student's knowledge in the field of legal regulation of basic managerial tools of realization of artistic creation in the field of labor law and civil law.
Student will thus be able to orientate in the current legal regulation of these areas and apply the legal regulations to specific situations in the realization of artistic dramatic and musical creation.
Student will be able, as an organizer, a co-organizer, a representative of an artistic institution or a representative of artists to use and create legal documents for individual managerial tasks.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
The student will deepen the knowledge of the labor law and civil law issues of creation in the field of dramatic and musical art from the position of the organizer, co-organizer, representative of the artistic institution, agency or representative of the artist.
Skills:
The student is able to find adequate legal solutions in the implementation of management activities of organizing, fundraising, marketing and other necessary contacts of dramatic and musical creation.
Student is able to find and comprehensively formulate proposals for appropriate legal ensuring for these activities.
In negotiating with relevant partners student is able to accurately formulate the requirements and assess the optimality of the solutions proposed by them.
Competences:
Student is instructed holder of legal knowledge and is able to negotiate the required contractual relationships to use the rights of others.
The student understands the technology of labor law and civil law solutions of both the creation and use of individual management tools.
Student is able to find independently the appropriate form of contractual relationship between the partners and to prepare the relevant legal documents.

cquaint students with the rights of authors and performers' rights, as well as downstream relations in the field of protection of intellectual property rights so as to be able to understand the current legislation copyright area and was able to apply the law to specific situations in the arts. Student comprehension and control technology solutions as copyright creation and use of objects of copyright protection for the user (especially art institution). She can both individually find an adequate form the necessary contractual relationships between users and carriers autorskolprávních permissions and prepare appropriate license agreement. He is so knowledgeable eligible for communicating with management, art institutions and art agencies (collective administrators) when the copyright ensuring the realization of artistic creation.

  • Course content: creative intellectual property rights - Introduction Copyright - subject and object Copyright protection license Agreement Rights related to copyright right performers rights of phonogram producers, producers' right audiovisual recordings, right radio and television broadcaster, the right publisher collective management of copyright media law - aperiodic and periodic publications Law on Broadcasting Descriptors Knowledge: Students will acquire basic overview of copyright issues in the field of dramatic and musical arts from the position of the author, performer, maker of audio and video recordings, but also in uživatele.Orientuje oblasdti media law. Skills: Students can search for adequate use options considered works or artistic performances, audio and audiovisual recordings. Can find the appropriate license to ensure these user rights.
