- Course objectives
- Course objective: The student should extend their awareness of the style of interpretation of early music. Studying is supportive of experimenting on the basis of knowledge of historical sources that provide him with a framework for his artistic decision-making and communication. Student development should be conducted in such a way that the student can contribute by his own research and his own reflection to the constant demand for detailed knowledge of historical instruments and the way of playing them. Students are expected to achieve higher levels of awareness of the meaning of the historical context and the meaning of the contents of the treatises and other historical sources of their own interpretation choices. The student should be aware of the fact that there are great stylistic differences in historical music that require different interpretative solutions. Student should be able to recognize that, as today, there are different styles and trends with different approaches. The intention of the technical and aesthetic guidance of the educator should be to support student development so that he can independently achieve a convincing performance that is based on knowledge and understanding as well as taste and interpretive intuition. Outline: - preparation and implementation of graduate performance - deepening stylistic and player skills - the relationship between the training rate and the stage fright - expression of phrases - convincing stage behaviour - technical exercises - a reflection of consistency between style and technique, colour, tempo, articulation, etc.
