Course objectives
Practical study of improvisation in jazz basic forms - Blues. Mastering their harmonic structure and the ability to apply improvisation substitution harmonic structures. Work on the songs that come from this form.
Syllabus
  • Familiarization with the blues scale and its use in blues form. Applications bebopových a dominant scales in blues. Harmonic substitutions and their practical musical interpretation. Analysis Charlie Parker solos in blues song "Now is the Time." Study harmoniously atypical major key blues - "Blues for Alice". Minor blues and its harmonic enrichment. The scale used in improvisation dominant cores based on minor diatonic systems - mixolydická b9b13, Lydian dominant, altered. Working with their combined use in dominant nuclei and tritone substitutions. Celotónová a reduced scale. Celozmenšené chords and their use when working with a dominant core. Transcription and analysis Sonny Rollins solos in the song "Airegin".
