Course objectives
The aim of the course Liturgy II (summer semester) is to acquaint students with the basic concepts of celebrating the sacramental and non-sacred liturgy: marriage ceremonies, priesthood ceremonies, sacrament of reconciliation, repentant sacrament, sacrament of sickness, blessing ceremonies, funeral ceremonies and daily church prayer (breviary). Based on the knowledge of the course of these celebrations, the student will be able to accompany them musically and choose a suitable musical and singing repertoire for these liturgical forms.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be acquainted with the Christian liturgy, to know the course of various forms of sacramental and non-sacred liturgy. He will be able to determine and select the appropriate musical accompaniment and folk spiritual song for these celebrations.
Syllabus
The Sacrament of Marriage - wedding ceremonies; priest's office; repentant worship and the sacrament of reconciliation; anointing ceremonies of the sick; Christian burial and its liturgical forms; blessing ceremonies; daily prayer of the church - breviary; musical, singing and instrumental accompaniment of individual liturgical forms.
