Course objectives

Students acquire the basic properties of sound and its propagation

Learning outcomes

Students will understand the principles of sound, musical instruments, sound propagation, tuning systems etc.

Syllabus (in Czech)

Zvukové vlny a kmity, vznik zvuku v hudebním nástroji.
Spektrum, vyšší harmonické, formanty, transienty.
Šíření zvuku, zohlednění zákonitostí šíření zvuku při interpretaci, interpretace v různých typech prostoru.
Principy temperovaného a přirozených ladění a vztah tvoření intervalů na hudebním nástroji s těmito soustavami ladění.
Přirozené i umělé efekty (vibráto, tremolo, dozvuk).
Vnímání zvuku.
Záznam hry na hudební nástroje, vliv záznamu a reprodukce na výsledný dojem z interpretace.
