- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce exchange students (studying theatre or cultural management) to the basic map of Czech cultural policy and theatre infrastructure.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to
: comprehend and convey the principles of Czech cultural policy with regard to its historical development; understand the position of the performing arts in the cultural sector of the Czech Republic; compare the above information with the situation in their own national environment. - Syllabus

- Student prepares a research assignment, which will be arranged at the beginning of the semester (depending on the composition of the study group and the focus of specific students). Example of a possible assignment:
According to study visit and visit of theatre performance student shall plan export of the performance into their country. The projects shall encompass search for a particular theatre in domestic country with matching aesthetic and production profile, suggest a marketing plan within the cultural context of the city/country, suggest a budget, suggest possible problems and solutions of transporting the performance etc.) Output: written project plan of the export of particular performance (10 – 15 pages) Consultancy to be arranged according to particular needs of students. - Language of instruction
