Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce exchange students (studying theatre or cultural management) to the basic map of Czech cultural policy and theatre infrastructure.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to
: comprehend and convey the principles of Czech cultural policy with regard to its historical development; understand the position of the performing arts in the cultural sector of the Czech Republic; compare the above information with the situation in their own national environment.

Assessment methods
Student prepares a research assignment, which will be arranged at the beginning of the semester (depending on the composition of the study group and the focus of specific students). Example of a possible assignment:
According to study visit and visit of theatre performance student shall plan export of the performance into their country. The projects shall encompass search for a particular theatre in domestic country with matching aesthetic and production profile, suggest a marketing plan within the cultural context of the city/country, suggest a budget, suggest possible problems and solutions of transporting the performance etc.) Output: written project plan of the export of particular performance (10 – 15 pages) Consultancy to be arranged according to particular needs of students.
