Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint the student with the basics of electrical engineering, Ohm's law, alternating current distribution system with a focus on the stage environment. Furthermore, the student will be introduced to low-current and high-current technology in a theater environment, including computer networks. Descriptors: The student is qualified to work with electrical engineering theater stage equipment.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- apply their theoretical knowledge in practice
- orient yourself in the electrical distribution box
- react in crisis situations in the event of an electric shock
- be familiar with the method of electrical connection of stage technologies and their control
- orient yourself in setting up and operating computer networks

  • 1. Units of the Si system, electric and magnetic field
  • 2. Direct current / Alternating current, Electric power, work
  • 3. Ohm’s law, specific conductivity
  • 4. Three-phase AC system, types of distribution networks
  • 5. Electrical devices, Connecting electrical objects
  • 6. Electric shock, Protection against electric shock
  • 7. High-frequency elements in stage technologies, dimmers, frequency converters
  • 8. Low current and high current systems in stage technologies – Lighting technology
  • 9. Low current and high current systems in stage technologies – Sound technology
  • 10.Low current and high current systems in stage technologies – Video technology
  • 11. Computer networks – Introduction, topology, addressing
  • 12. Computer networks – Routing and switching
