Prerequisites
The course is taught in the winter semester of the first year of undergraduate study, the only prerequisite is therefore admission.

Course objectives
The aim is to theoretically prepare the student for the practical implementation of the stage construction. To acquaint the student with individual elements of scenic construction.
The student will gain theoretical knowledge of stage construction. It has theoretical knowledge of stage equipment, methods or hanging on the rules of OSH and on stage.
He can apply his knowledge in his future employment as a stage master, props or production manager.Learning outcomes (in Czech)
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- design a simple stage construction with the help of typed building elements
- design and specify stage covering equipment
- work with flat scenery
- acquire, fasten and work with stage decorations.
- aware of security risks on stage and follow work safety in the theater environment

Teaching methods
Teaching is organized through lectures and exercises. The student is practically acquainted with individual stage technologies in school theaters and classrooms and in Brno theaters.
Assessment methods
Credit. The student is assessed on the basis of attendance at classes (minimum 80%), active participation and a seminar work on given topic (30 %).
