It is required to have these subjects absolved previously: Classical Dance - methodology, Classical Dance – technique, Modern Dance – methodology, Modern Dance – technique, Folk Dance – methodology, Folk Dance – technique, History and Theory of Dance and Ballet, Selection and Analysis of Original Music
It is required to attend these subjects concurrently: Modern Dance – methodology and technique, Basics of Choreography

Course objectives
The aim is to give students an overview of contemporary dance development, to acquaint them with current trends linking dance techniques and emerging dance styles, responsive to fashion changes, musical and aesthetic and allow future teachers to expand artistic means of expression which make use of methodology and choreographic working on all levels of dance education in dance ensembles.
Syllabus
  • Characteristics, physical principles and the use of contemporary technique, floor work, contact improvisation, modern jazz, hip-hop, street dance and others.
