- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand the following didactical methods of Classical Dance: developing the rotation of joint apparatus of lower limbs, constant turns, light and high jumps, steady and expressive movements of arms, space feeling, flexibility, stability, and accurate coordination of movements (including endurance and force)
- manage methodical approaches of teaching Classical Dance
- practically apply pedagogical knowledge, be aware of complex movement possibilities, correctly use terminology and principals of Classical Dance
- find an adequate ways to work with predisposed students of different levels of preparation
- offer inspiring ideas and methods to develop their professional field
- analyze and creatively elaborate this dance system
- apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- connect creative and pedagogical principals and adequately apply their knowledge of interdisciplinary fields - Syllabus
- - the 1st and the 2nd semesters are devoted to methodical elaboration of the basics: accuracy, shaping, flexibility, expression, naturalness and ease, discipline, ability to connect movement with music
- - the next four semesters students are mastering more demanding movements
- - from 7th semester till the end of the course students work with the most complicated part of the subject matter
- - during the course students are focused on dance form, rhythmical map of movements, type of musical accompaniment, standards of realisations, elimination of possible mistakes
- - the course includes general pedagogical and psychological aspects of dance teacher work
