Course objectives
Students should acquire theoretical knowledge of how sound works in relation to the theater environment. They will be introduced to the principle of converting acoustic sensations into electrical signals and vice versa. Technical means for processing and modifying this electroacoustic signal will be presented. At the same time, students will acquire practical skills in working with sound technologies.
The creation of a new course, modification of course content and teaching methods was supported by project CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/16_015/0002245 Improving the Quality of Education at JAMU.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to:
- understand the basic concepts of acoustics and, in particular, electroacoustics
- apply theoretical knowledge in the field of acoustics and electroacoustics in theater practice
- work with various types of microphones
- master the basic functions of analog and digital mixing consoles
- connect and operate a simple sound system
