Course objectives
The primary aim of the course is to provide basic information about stage lighting techniques and show them in practice. It is especially recommended to students interested in Master study of lighting design and students of fields requiring an elementary knowledge of lighting, such as set-design, stage direction or physical theater.

The course consists in a three day workshop at one of the schools´ theater or rehearsal spaces (typically in October/November and January, see exact dates at "informace ucitele"). It is divided into 3 main parts: 1) a theoretical introduction, 2) demonstrations and practical exercices 3) creative task worked out in groups

The course gives the same importance to the technical and creative aspects of lighting design and it will provide participants with a good base that they can develop in further study or practical work.
Learning outcomes (in Czech)
Student bude po absolvování předmětu schopen:
- vytvořit základní světelnou koncepci
- prezentovat tuto koncepci v rámci tvůrčího týmu
- vytvořit scénář světelných změn a základní světelný plán
- definovat své požadavky na světelné vybavení (typy reflektorů a dalších zařízení, filtry) - definovat své požadavky v komunikaci s operátorem pultu při programování světelných změn
