What happened to Ladislav Grosman's screenwriting after the success of The Shop on Main Street? Did any hurt? And what actually happened to him after he emigrated from Prague to Israel in 1968? This is the answer to the publication Screenwriter Ladislav Grosman, a documentary text in which analyses of Grosman's other screenplays and their prose prelongings, subjective testimonies of eyewitnesses, but also fragments of old and often incomplete archive materials. The close connection between the relationship between the author and the work and the context in which he lives and works, whether it is a historical-social, intimate-family or pragmatic-financial matter, determines his life and potential (un)success, explores the author, who will know the pitfalls of the creative process firsthand. And so, from the initial interest in the author of the "only work", the story of an extraordinary man with his difficult fate, creative desires, but also failures gradually reveals in front of you.
