The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the distribution of live music performances in the field of classical music and opera (and overall in the arts). Despite the rapid adaptation to the current situation, when even the smallest musical ensembles (or theatre companies) used streaming platforms to interact with their listeners and audience, it will be in the future necessary to find „virtual paths“ not only to existing ones, but above all to potential viewers and listeners = customers. In my presentatin I would like to present my ongoing dissertation reserach in the field of digital distribution of live music performances in the field of classical music and opera. The aim of the intended dissertation is to research a selected sample of professional symphony orchestras and opera houses in Europe and the influence of digital technologies on distribution of live music performances (opera and classical music concerts). As part of my contribution, I want to present the current state of my dissertation, research hypothesis on which the research will be based and few examples of digital technologies that could provide experience of live music performances in digital format.
