Studie v publikaci Tastes of Encounter, která reflektuje fenomén mezinárodního festivalu divadelních škol Setkání/Encounter a rozkrývá jednotlivé vrstvy jeho třicetileté existence. Kapitola Festival vysokých škol se zabývá postavením Setkání/Encounter v široké skupině událostí, které jako festival označujeme. Aktualizuje definici pojmů festival/umělecký festival o současné aspekty, produkční realitu a odbornou reflexi současných teatrologů, umělců a producentů. Rozebírá cíle a funkce festivalu Setkání/Encounter a upozorňuje na nutnost podrobovat je neustálé diskusi jak ve vztahu k umělecké a vzdělávací vizi festivalu, tak k vizi ve vztahu k místní komunitě.

A study in the publication Tastes of Encounter which reflects the phenomenon of the international festival of theatre schools Setkání/Encounter and reveals diverse layers of its thirty-year existence. The chapter Festival of Universities deals with the position of the Setkání/Encounter in a wide group of events, which we refer to as the festival. It updates the definition of festival/art festival with current facets, production reality and professional reflection of contemporary theatrologists, artists and producers. The text analyses goals and functions of the Setkání/Encounter and points out the need to discuss mission and vision of the festival both in relation to artistic and educational purposes and in relation to local community.
