V originále

Vznik této edice byl podmíněn potřebou vytvořit notový materiál, který vychází především z původních edic díla. Žádné z velmi populárních starých vydání není v současnosti běžně dostupné. Výsledkem spolupráce s prof. Adolfem Sýkorou, emeritním členem jedné z původních sestav Janáčkova kvarteta, je materiál, výhradně respektující původní podobu díla. Cílem této edice bylo vybrat z trojice starých vydání to nejlepší po stránce autentičnosti (Moravské kvarteto), odstranění přebytečných interpretačních nánosů a v neposlední řadě vytvoření výstupu v podobě hráčsky přívětivého studijního materiálu. Samotná edice obsahuje rozsáhlou vydavatelskou a ediční zprávu.

The creation of this edition was conditioned by the need to create sheet music, which is based primarily on the original editions of the work. None of the very popular old editions are currently commonly available. The result of cooperation with prof. Adolf Sýkora, an former member of one of the original composition of the Janacek Quartet, is a material that exclusively respect the original form of the work. The aim od this edition was to select the best of the three old editions in terms of authenticity (Moravian Quartet), to remove excess interpretive entries and create an output in the form of player - friendly study material. The edition itself contains an extensive publishing and editorial report.
