As part of my research, I have made a second production for the Deaf audience and called it „Life Sentence – The Worst will stay“. In my presentation, I would like to talk about this production, in particular about the process of its creation, about the cooperation between the deaf and hearing artists and also about the reaction of the audience. The production consists of monologues of four women, who are accused of the most serious crimes. At the end of the production, the audience decides about their guilt or innocence, employing the interactive concept. The production is unusual because of the process of its creation. It was initially created in the Czech sign language because the author‘s intention and the script was made by the deaf artist. The production was also directed by the same deaf artist. The script must have been translated into the Czech language so that it could have been revised by the hearing dramaturgist. During production, the cooperation between the deaf and hearing artists is used in different ways, e.g., the hearing artist, who plays the foreigner, is dubbed by the Deaf artist, so that it makes a feeling of different accent in speech. In the same way, the hearing artist sometimes uses the Czech sign language.
